Job Description

Posted on: September 13, 2025

Mogo is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role is ideal for someone early in their FP&A career who is excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll work closely with the FP&A Manager, Director of Finance, and CFO to support forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and performance analysis across our Lending, Wealth, and Payments business lines. You will be responsible for updating models, preparing dashboards and reporting packages, and supporting scenario analysis to help drive decision-making. This is a unique opportunity to learn the mechanics of FP&A in a lean, fintech environment and grow into a business partner role over time. Base salary for this role is: $53 000 - $75 000 CAD What you’ll do:

  • Update actuals into rolling forecast models and prepare variance analysis
  • Support monthly forecast cycles and ad hoc scenario analyses
  • Assist in preparing inputs for long-term (5-year) forecasting and goodwill impairment models
  • Maintain recurring reporting packages (monthly, quarterly) across Lending, Wealth, and Payments
  • Refresh KPI dashboards (revenue, gross margin, CAC, LTV, loan performance, transaction metrics)
  • Summarize findings into clear insights for management review
  • Partner with the FP&A Manager to evaluate unit economics (pricing, customer payback, profitability)
  • Support business cases and sensitivity analysis for Lending and Wealth initiatives
  • Help consolidate divisional forecasts into the corporate model
  • Improve data flows between accounting (NetSuite, Concur) and FP&A models
  • Contribute to automation and dashboard enhancements (Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools)

What you’ll need:

  • Demonstrated interest in AI applications in finance, with a strong curiosity to explore how AI can enhance forecasting, automation, and strategic analysis in FP&A
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 1-4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or investment banking
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with BI or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is an asset
  • Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and key drivers of business performance
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to dig into data to uncover insights
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain numbers clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Curiosity about fintech, lending, and digital assets, and a drive to learn in a high-growth environment

Benefits of working with us:

  • ALWAYS FULLY REMOTE WORK - Enjoy the flexibility of remote work, supported by necessary resources
  • Comprehensive Health and Wellness - Access medical, dental, and vision coverage plus a Health Spending Account
  • Stock Options - Have a stake in the company's success through stock options
  • Flex Vacation - Benefit from paid time off, including vacation days, holidays, and personal days
  • Wellbeing Programs - Access counselling services, mental health support, and additional wellness resources
