Summary
MASIV is seeking a passionate, emotionally intelligent, and design-savvy Executive Assistant to the Founder to join our high-performance team. This full-time role blends executive support, business development, creative content, and design coordination across our business functions.
This is not a traditional assistant position. You will work directly with the CEO and COO, contributing to decision-making, assisting in creative and operational execution, and bringing fresh ideas to the table. You must be a graduate with a background in interior design, architecture, engineering, or a related discipline and eager to grow in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Founder – Design, Strategy & Creative Ops
Reporting to: CEO and COO
Location: In-Person only at our office in Calgary, AB. Must have own vehicle
Pay range: Starting at $24.50/hour, with performance-based growth and year-end bonuses
Responsibilities
- Provide executive support to the CEO, including calendar, communications, and task management
- Participate in high-level meetings and contribute to executive decision-making
- Coordinate across project teams, clients, and external collaborators
- Contribute to finish selections, moodboards, design presentations, and material curation
- Assist with social media content creation, campaigns, and brand voice
- Help draft proposals, pitch decks, and marketing materials for business development
- Support coordination of project sites, suppliers, and fabrication workflows
- Capture and organize ideas, notes, and action items
- Anticipate founder needs and act with emotional intelligence and discretion
- Participate in a variety of roles across startup initiatives, events, and operations
- Communicate ideas, work, and progress clearly, including by engaging in team meetings, presentations, and other creative communication outlets
- To take responsibility where required by the project leaders for specific areas of operations
- To give support where needed to colleagues working on other projects
- Thorough knowledge of and compliance with MASIV company culture, procedures and standards
- To contribute, or otherwise assist as required
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the AEC industry
Qualities and skills required
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering (EIT), or related field (must be a graduate)
- For candidates with ID, Architecture, or Engineering backgrounds, you will be able to register with your relevant associations and gain your hours towards accreditation under the founders
- 0–2 years of professional experience
- Demonstrated creative sensibility and design thinking
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Emotional intelligence and intuitive communication style
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, proactive, and reliable
- Comfortable with ambiguity and high-pace environments
- Competence in tools such as Google Workspace, Notion, Canva, Adobe, or CAD (bonus)
- Has own vehicle and comfortable with local travel when needed
- Strong commitment to the team; maintains positive working relationships with diverse people, including internal team and external partners
- Embodies ethics and integrity in all work, respecting both company and broader community policies
- Resilient to coping with conflicting demands
