As Director of Production and Product Development, you will play a strategic role in this process by leading the execution of product development and production strategies that ensure quality, speed, and cost efficiency across your categories. You will guide a high-performing team, working closely with cross-functional partners in design, sourcing, manufacturing, and buying to bring each style to life—from concept to final delivery. Your leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and global partners will make you a key contributor to Simons’ success. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full product development and production process to ensure timely and high-quality deliveries.
- Collaborate with design, buying, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless execution across all steps.
- Manage production calendars and work to reduce lead times and accelerate speed to market.
- Lead negotiation and cost strategies to maximize margins and mitigate risks.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and alignment with company values.
- Oversee raw material positioning and rotation in partnership with internal teams and suppliers.
- Stay informed of industry trends and innovation to enhance product development practices.
- Motivate, mentor, and grow team members within a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
Desired Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership and team management role.
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
