Jola Interactive is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our development team and help ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of the digital platforms we build—primarily eCommerce websites, APIs, and integrated applications. Key ResponsibilitiesTesting Strategy & Planning
- Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts that support functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. Participate in sprint planning to align QA activities with development workflows.
Manual and Automated Testing
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate the performance and stability of websites, APIs, and integrations across devices and browsers. Use Postman and browser dev tools to simulate real-world use cases and edge scenarios.
Bug Reporting & Issue Tracking
- Identify, document, and communicate defects and inconsistencies. Provide clear reproduction steps, environment details, and expected vs. actual behavior. Work closely with developers to support triage and resolution.
Release Validation
- Perform thorough regression testing before releases and validate new features and hotfixes in staging environments. Execute smoke and sanity tests to confirm readiness for deployment.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Contribute to evolving QA processes by documenting procedures, creating knowledge bases, and offering feedback during retrospectives and post-mortems. Help maintain standards that ensure quality benchmarks are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing, preferably in a digital agency or eCommerce environment
- Experience with platforms like Adobe Commerce (Magento), Shopify, or BigCommerce
- Proficient with ClickUp (or similar tools), browser dev tools, and debugging utilities
- Familiarity with REST APIs and tools such as Postman for API validation
- Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing multiple testing priorities
