Project Designer
The focus of the Project Designer role is to support the production of design activities, gain exposure and experience and demonstrate competency and ongoing proficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Demonstrated ability to produce design and produce design and construction related documents using AutoCad, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Suite products
· Support the design and renovation, new construction and contract administration of corporate workplaces and other projects.
· Demonstrated ability to listen and take direction from leadership within the firm.
· Support intermediate and senior staff with client site visits and meetings when required including participation and taking of meeting minutes
· Demonstrated ability to communicate with reps and contractors regarding daily job activity.
· Ability to learn and assist leadership in the completion of drawings for building permit
· Demonstrated attention to detail in both drawings and design activities.
· Ensure work progress and deliverables are communicated regularly to senior staff and pro-actively and properly explained and handed over for coverage when/if as needed within the team
· Industry Participation – Attendance at industry events as a representative of iN Studio which may take place outside of studio hours
· Active participation with firm activities
· Join an Internal committee and actively participate
Experience, Education & Certifications
· Recent graduate + experience as a Designer in a design role
· Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalent
· Provincial Association Intern membership preferred
Skills and Qualifications
· Technically strong in a combination of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
· Passion for design with a creative and innovative perspective
· Ability to express creative talent through conceptual design and rendering skills
· Ability and willingness to learn new skills
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Has a growth mindset
· Be an active, positive contributor to the iN STUDIO culture
