Now Hiring: Accounting & Payroll Assistant (Part-Time)

📍 South East Edmonton, AB | 100% On-SiteIN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is seeking a detail-driven Accounting & Payroll Assistant to hire for our client in Southeast Edmonton. We are looking for a individual who loves keeping numbers accurate and operations running smoothly! 💼📊

🕘 ScheduleMonday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Part-Time (28–35 hours/week)

🚫 100% On-site

(not remote or hybrid)

💰 Compensation

$25–$27/hour

🌟 What You’ll Do

💸 Payroll & HR Support

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, review outputs, and initiate EFTs
  • Maintain accurate employee records (vacation, absences, wage changes)
  • Manage onboarding & offboarding, including ROEs and benefits updates
  • Prepare annual T4s and handle employment verification requests
  • Update insurance and payroll systems with wage changes

🧾 Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Code and enter invoices for job costing and non-project expenses
  • Ensure project invoices receive proper approvals
  • Assist with T5s and other financial reporting
  • Support project managers with financial documentation as needed

📌 This role reports directly to the VP of Finance and offers autonomy with accountability.

🎓 What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
  • 5–10 years of hands-on accounting & payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll & CRA requirements
  • Experience with Sage 300 and Microsoft Office (strong asset)
