About the Role: As the Director of HR in a fast growing startup, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and strengthening our people operations to support our rapid growth. You’ll lead and refine our HR strategy, shape a high-performing culture, and ensure a best-in-class employee experience across our distributed workforce. You’ll work closely with the executive leadership team and play a key role in organizational development, talent planning, and workforce compliance.
Responsibilities:
Culture Leadership
- Lead initiatives that define, promote, and reinforce HouseSigma’s culture, ensuring alignment across all teams and locations.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador and advisor to leadership, helping integrate values into decision-making, communications, and operations.
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Design and implement HR strategies that align with HouseSigma’s growth and operational goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational structure, talent strategy, and workforce planning.
Talent Management
- Oversee end-to-end talent lifecycle from recruitment, onboarding, and development to offboarding.
- Build and evolve scalable talent acquisition processes to attract top-tier candidates.
- Establish succession planning and leadership development frameworks.
Compliance & Operations
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions in Canada and globally.
- Lead and refine compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
- Maintain accurate HR metrics and analytics to support strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or HR director role.
- Proven experience supporting high growth technology company
- Strong background in HR operations, employee relations, talent acquisition, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization and lead through change.
- Experience managing remote and globally distributed teams.
- Deep knowledge of Canadian employment law; international HR experience is a strong asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP/CHRL designation is a plus.
