About The Role Reporting to the Front Desk Supervisors, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming guests, managing room reservations, completing check-in and check-out procedures, providing information about the hotel and local attractions, and processing guest payments while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional, and personalized customer service.
  • Manage room reservations by phone and online.
  • Perform guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about the hotel's services and amenities.
  • Recommend local attractions, activities, and services throughout the Montreal area.
  • Ensure the accuracy of guest records and financial transactions within the property management system.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members, as required.
  • Perform other related duties and support front desk operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Hotel Reception or Hospitality, or a minimum of one year of relevant front desk experience in a hotel environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems; experience with OPERA Cloud is considered an asset.
  • Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Good knowledge of Montreal's tourist attractions and local points of interest.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Demonstrated reliability, discretion, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional guest service.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently.
