About the role

Your new company

Hays is partnering with an established, privately held property management company with a long-standing presence across the Lower Mainland. With a diverse portfolio spanning residential and commercial properties, the business offers a stable environment, close-knit team and hands-on approach to property management.


This position can be located either in Vancouver or in Surrey, but weekly travel to both locations would be required.


Your new role

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of a mixed residential and commercial portfolio
  • Building strong relationships with owners, tenants and key stakeholders
  • Conducting regular site inspections and maintaining a visible presence across the portfolio
  • Preparing and managing property budgets and reviewing operating expenses
  • Reviewing and coding invoices
  • Managing contractors, service agreements and property-related projects
  • Coordinating repairs, maintenance and emergency situations
  • Overseeing insurance matters and property documentation
  • Ensuring properties are managed in accordance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements



What you'll need to succeed

  • Active BC Rental Property Management Licence
  • Approximately 5+ years of property management experience
  • Strong residential property management experience
  • Previous exposure to commercial property management
  • Good understanding of budgets, financial statements and operating expenses
  • Experience managing contractors, building maintenance and capital projects
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities across multiple properties
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to take ownership
  • Strata management experience and/or licence would be an asset, with a potential opportunity to gain exposure to this area in the future
