About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, the Consolidation Analyst will support the monthly consolidation and management reporting process for a large group of entities operating across several business units. Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of consolidated financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly consolidation entries and support the consolidated close process
- Analyze financial results and assist with management reporting deliverables
- Reconcile intercompany balances and investigate discrepancies across entities
- Support quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements
- Assist with the annual external audit by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
- Maintain and enhance consolidation and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency
- Collaborate with internal finance teams and IT to improve data flows, reporting capabilities, and system functionality
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, templates, and financial models
- Provide training and ongoing support to users of consolidation and reporting platforms
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and other special projects as required
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing the CPA program or interest in pursuing it
- 2+ years of experience in consolidation, financial reporting, audit, or corporate accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
- Experience working with ERP, financial reporting, or consolidation software is considered an asset
- Ability to manage large volumes of financial information while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Bilingualism in English and French is required
