Showroom Coordinator
Job Description
Posted on: February 14, 2026
Pay: CA$18.00 - CA$20.00 per hour
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
About the Role
Are you a versatile professional who loves the thrill of closing a sale but also enjoys the structure of backend operations? We are looking for a motivated Sales & Showroom Coordinator to join our Toronto team.
This is not a typical desk job. This role offers a dynamic 50/50 split between front-of-house sales and backend digital administration. You will serve as the "face" of our brand—assisting walk-in clients and contractors—while effectively managing the "brains" of the operation through our e-commerce platform and digital marketing channels.
Why Join Us?
- Best of Both Worlds: Perfect for someone who wants to stay active on the sales floor without losing their sharp administrative edge.
- Earning Potential: We reward performance. In addition to your base salary, you will earn a 10% commission on eligible sales, putting more money directly in your hands.
- Key Impact: You won't just be a cog in the machine; you'll drive revenue through in-person negotiations and online lead generation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Consultative Showroom Sales: Actively engage walk-in customers (homeowners, designers, and contractors) to understand their project needs. You will guide them through product selection, provide technical advice, and close deals to unlock your commission opportunities.
- Bilingual Client Management: Serve as the primary liaison for our diverse clientele. You will use your fluency in Mandarin and English to build trust, negotiate pricing, and manage complex inquiries across both languages.
- Lead Conversion: Monitor and respond to incoming sales inquiries via phone, email, and social channels, turning "just curious" leads into showroom appointments and finalized sales.
2. Digital Operations & Administration
- E-Commerce Management: Take ownership of the company's online store. You will ensure that product descriptions are compelling, pricing is accurate, and inventory levels are updated in real time to prevent stock discrepancies.
- Marketplace Marketing: Drive digital traffic by creating and refreshing listings on high-volume platforms (Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji). You will optimize these posts to maximize visibility and generate local leads.
- Showroom & Admin Support: Maintain a professional and welcoming showroom environment. This includes managing front-desk correspondence, assisting leadership with sales reporting, and coordinating logistics to ensure orders are processed smoothly.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Language: Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
- Sales Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, or customer service. You must be comfortable initiating conversations and closing deals.
Preferred Assets:
- Experience in the construction, home improvement, or building materials industry.
- E-Commerce Experience: Experience with Shopify (updating products, managing inventory, processing orders) is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Digital Literacy: Familiarity with managing business listings on Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji is preferred but not required.
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to assist with organizing showroom samples, restocking shelves, and managing inventory.
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
- Mandarin (required)
Work Location: In person
