The Human Resources Director is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s human resources strategy in alignment with its mission, vision, and long-term goals. This role provides strategic guidance and hands-on leadership across all facets of HR including talent acquisition, employee development, culture and engagement, compensation, compliance, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and long-term goals.
- Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, offering insights and data to drive decision-making.
Talent Management & Development
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Design and lead talent development programs, succession planning, and career pathing.
- Foster a learning culture and oversee training programs that build capability.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Promote a positive organizational culture that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, conflict resolution, and grievance procedures.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation structures and benefits programs.
- Monitor market trends to ensure offerings attract and retain top talent.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Lead investigations and risk mitigation strategies related to HR issues.
HR Operations & Systems
- Manage HR budgets and optimize HR processes, systems (e.g., HRIS), and data analytics.
- Lead change management efforts in times of organizational transition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CPHR, SPHR, are an asset.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of employment law, organizational development, and HR best practices.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive organizational change.
- Experience in retail HR preferred.
