Engineering Technician

Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models for valve parts and assembly as per engineer instruction.
• Modify 3D models for existing design as per engineer instruction.
• Make detailed and assembly drawings for production.
• Make drawings for sales team and quotation.
• Collect data from drawings and CAD parts such dimension, volume.
• Prepare views and presentation using CAD software for marketing team.
• Prepare BOM for different type of valves.
• Do any other activities to support engineering team such physical parts measurement or standard parts selections(fasteners, fittings, …) or rough material dimensions calculation (bar, plate, tube,…).
• Technical support to other departments (production, sales, operation. quality) under chief engineer supervision.
• Participate to technical report redaction.
• Assist Engineering for any daily tasks.

Education/Qualification:

• College Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• A minimum of three years experience in manufacturing field
• A minimum of five years experience in 3D modeling and technical drafting

Skills and Person-Profile:

• Excellent knowledge in technical drawings (Essential)
• Experience in Industrial Valves Design (An asset)
• Very good communication skills (Essential)
• Team oriented (Essential)
• Independent
• Spoken and written English (Essential)
• Spoken and Written French (an asset)

Software: AutoCAD (Mandatory), Creo PTC (Optional), Microsoft Office (Mandatory)
