Project Coordinator

Join a thriving electrical contractor in Ottawa's East End as a full-time Project Coordinator! Our client is looking for a meticulous and organized professional to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be a master of details, with exceptional project management skills, electrical industry expertise, and construction know-how. You'll be a top-notch communicator, a self-motivated go-getter, and a collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments, juggling multiple tasks with ease.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technician/Technology required
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction processes
• Experience with construction management software like ProCore or similar platforms
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with diverse teams
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe suite, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Reliable vehicle required for commuting to office, as public transportation is not readily available
• Office environment includes two friendly dogs - comfort around dogs a must

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with Project Managers to review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Utilize ProCore construction management software for project tracking, documentation, and management
• Provide administrative support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion
• Liaise with and coordinate activities with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Prepare and compile project closeout documents
• Create accurate As-Builts drawings and plans using AutoCAD
• Other duties as assigned and needed

Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 per year depending on experienceWork schedule: Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 4:00pm/5:00pm – 42.5 hour work week
