Explore this exciting Accountant /Accounting Manager opportunity with our Client in Regina as a result of an upcoming retirement. Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of 2 Accounting Clerks, you will provide full cycle accounting, financial analysis and reporting for this reputable product sales and service organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide full-cycle financial accounting including A/P, A/R, journal entries, bank/credit card reconciliations and reporting.
  • Provide leadership and coach the Accounting Clerks, instilling a motivated and positive work team. Ensure organizational ethics and values are intact and ‘lived’ within the workplace.
  • Prepare / process government remittances including GST, PST and payroll source deductions, ensuring all regulatory filings are completed and submitted on a timely basis.
  • Compile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reports to stakeholders.
  • Assess, track and process product sales and service documents**.**
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank statements, accounts and subledgers.
  • Assist with accounting cash flow, insurance and budgeting. Coordinate required payroll documents and information for processing.

You will bring:

  • Degree/Diploma in Financial Accounting and/or Business Administration is preferred. CPA designation is an asset.
  • Proficiency in full cycle accounting utilizing accounting software programs. Experience in a product sales/service work environment is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Personal integrity, honesty and strong work ethics. Committed and willing to lead and work within the values and ethics of the organization.

Start: Negotiable; ideally within the next 3 months

Hours of work: Mon to Fri, 8-5
