Are you a numbers person with a passion for people? Do you believe that thoughtful and motivating rewards are the foundation of a thriving team? Earls Kitchen + Bar is looking for a Total Rewards Analyst to join our People Operations team at our Head Office in Vancouver, BC. As the successful candidate, you will drive our total rewards strategy, ensuring every program reflects our authentic Earls Culture and Total Rewards philosophy. You excel at translating complex data into actionable insights, are meticulously detail-oriented, and thrive working as part of a team; you will work cross-functionally with partners in every corner of the organization. Being adaptable, highly organized, and comfortable operating with a high level of discretion are essential for this position. Role Responsibilities

  • Research, recommend, and implement Total Compensation and Total Rewards governance guidelines, policies, and program updates.
  • Execute foundational work for the annual Head Office compensation review—including job evaluations, market benchmarking, and salary band recommendations—while managing day-to-day Head Office compensation requests through collaboration with the Vice President, People Operations.
  • Perform research and analysis to recommend Operations compensation updates, complete external market surveys, and present incoming benchmark data to the Senior HR team.
  • Administer and oversee all extended benefits plans, including supporting annual plan renewals, executing enrolments according to eligibility, and providing ad hoc support for employees.
  • Provide general employee benefit support and maintain centralized, accurate documentation for all total rewards policies, benefits, perks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Own the Earls Maternity + Parental Top Up program, including directly supporting eligible employees, as well as planning, budgeting, and executing employee agreements
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, state, and local labour regulations on an ongoing basis in Canada and the US. This includes executing compliance with company-wide Pay Transparency initiatives and coordinating mandatory government filings, including US 1095 reporting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically focused on compensation and benefits administration (ideally within hospitality, retail, or a multi-unit service industry).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret large data sets, model pay scenarios, and maintain strict data confidentiality while solving complex problems.
  • Strategic approach to stakeholder support, with active listening skills and proven experience presenting actionable insights to executive leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas), Google Suite, and familiarity with HRIS platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships and contribute to an engaging, collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with benefits administration in Canada and/or the US is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality-focused environment is considered an asset.

Bonus Points

  • A sense of humour.
  • A serious passion for food - we like to eat around here (sometimes wine is involved).
  • Open to personal development and growth.
  • The drive to succeed and the passion to be a part of Earls growth.
  • Big team player – able to be both a leader and also support those around them.
