The Director of Engineering & Field Services role has been created to provide unified leadership across two business functions while supporting operational execution, developing leadership capability, and supporting Dynamo's long-term growth.
The role is part of Dynamo’s ongoing organizational evolution and is intended to handle day-to-day operational leadership while expanding organizational leadership capacity across both departments. Through dedicated leadership, clear accountability, and the continued development of sustainable systems and people, the role will enable the organization to continue growing while allowing the executive team to focus on longer-term priorities.
The Director will be responsible for leading the next stage of maturity across Engineering and Field Services by:
- Establishing scalable systems, processes, and governance that improve quality, consistency, accountability, and long-term operational performance.
- Building leadership capability by coaching managers, developing future leaders, and strengthening organizational capacity across both departments.
- Enhancing planning, prioritization, and execution capabilities to support proactive operations and continuous improvement.
- Supporting continuous improvement on quality, consistency, and operational performance.
- Strengthening collaboration across departments and the Senior Management Team.
- Supporting sustainable organizational growth while balancing immediate operational priorities with long-term business objectives.
- Contributing as a member of the Senior Management Team by supporting enterprise-wide decision-making, organizational priorities, and the continued growth of Dynamo.
- Bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to both departments by challenging established approaches and identifying new opportunities for services, markets, and more sustainable ways of operating.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma, with minimum 15+ years of experience in an industrial setting or consulting environment.
- Working knowledge of electrical protection, industrial process control and automation applications.
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- Possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Works effectively under time constraints, adapts to change, able to work alone, as well as enjoys participating in a team environment.
