Temporary position for 13 months. Required As a legal affairs technician, you help protect the organization’s legal interests by providing technical support to make sure that its rights are protected and obligations are met. You may be responsible for one or more sub-specialties, such as contested matters and the Office of the Corporate Secretary (ethics and professional conduct, official registries, meeting minutes, the general meeting, etc.). You serve as technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for your unit’s activities, initiatives and processes. The ability to tailor your approach as needed is therefore essential. You research and analyze processes, information management and data processing. You draw on your sound decision-making skills to solve technically complex problems and recommend ways to change or adjust methods and procedures to make them as effective and efficient as possible. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Carry out specialized technical studies, research and analysis on legal topics. Serve as resource person for the submission of solutions and action plans
- Provide technical support for tasks, projects and complex operational issues
- Assist your unit’s legal staff with their initiatives and help them plan and coordinate legal activities. Prepare and draft reports, documents, summaries and technical notes
- Follow up with practitioners and decision-making bodies as required. Forward files in accordance with the established process
- Help practitioners follow your unit’s standards and processes and use its tools and systems.

What You Bring To The Table
- College diploma in a related field
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience

- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
