JOB SUMMARY:We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, as part of the maintenance staff the successful candidate will focus on minimizing downtime and the implementation of a preventative maintenance program, mechanical troubleshooting and hands-on corrective actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on processing equipment, minimizing downtime, building mechanical systems and building repairs, etc.
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions on machinery.
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts through a preventative maintenance program or unscheduled maintenance.
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance and/or set-up.
• Promote and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Millwright ticket required
• 3-5 years trade experience.
• Experience with screw conveyors, belt conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, reducers, machinery rebuilding and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of PLC's and soft starts.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Welding experience an asset.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
