Lead the successful delivery of strategic initiatives at the heart of a dynamic, innovation-driven organization! In the context of several systems modernization projects for one of our government-sector clients, CGI Montreal is seeking a Data Architect to contribute to business initiatives leveraging Microsoft Azure and Power Platform while ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture. In this role, you will be responsible for developing physical data models for Cosmos DB (NoSQL) and Dataverse (Power Platform) technologies, as well as implementing physical data models. Work arrangement: Hybrid Location: Montreal Your future duties and responsibilities
- Design and model data structures (relational, multidimensional, and physical) based on project requirements
- Design and optimize ETL processes (using SSIS or other integration tools)
- Perform data profiling and data quality assessment (using SSIS, DQS, or equivalent tools)
- Model data flows, data warehouses, and data marts
- Collaborate on projects involving Microsoft Azure and Power Platform
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. For degrees obtained outside Quebec, candidates may be required to provide proof of equivalency issued by the MIFI (Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration).
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years as a Data Architect with expertise in ETL, SSIS, relational and multidimensional modeling, physical data modeling, and related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, and data profiling (SSIS, DQS, or equivalent tools)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data flow modeling, data warehouse design, or data mart development
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft data management products, including Cosmos DB, Dataverse (Power Platform or Dynamics CRM), and Azure Data Factory
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate or Azure Logic Apps
- Hands-on experience with Power BI will be considered an asset
- Hands-on experience with Visio and Visual Paradigm modeling tools will be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills in French (spoken, written)
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 70 000$ et 135 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
