It takes a society to take on cancer – and the Canadian Cancer Society is leading the way MAKING AN IMPACT Reporting to the Director, Cancer Information, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering cancer information projects that support our priorities in 2026 — including print, online, video and other priority cancer information resources. The Project Manager facilitates project plans from inception through evaluation, engaging internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure high-quality, accessible, and evidence-informed cancer information is delivered on time and within scope. What You’ll Be DoingFacilitate delivery of project‑based Cancer Information initiatives
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles for deliverables, using structured PM tools to define scope, requirements, risks, assumptions, and constraints.
- Gather requirements from internal teams, partners, and users to ensure products meet audience needs.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, workflows, and process maps that reflect enterprise content strategy and governance.
- Use data (analytics, user testing, past product performance) to inform planning and support decision‑making and demonstrate ROI.
- Ensure strong documentation and version control practices throughout each project.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage relationships with various internal and external partners.
- Work alongwith in-house content specialists, editors and translators and internal stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Recruit and manage external vendors, subject matter experts, and reviewers for specialized product needs.
- Communicate relevant project information to department leads and other project leads to effectively prioritize work and team resources.
- Collaborate with digital, brand marketing and other teams to deliver high-quality products in a consistent and timely manner.
Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and product accessibility
- Apply enterprise content strategy principles and standards to ensure materials are consistent, scalable, and optimized for reuse across CCS channels.
- Integrate user‑testing findings, analytics, and feedback processes into content improvements across the portfolio.
- Ensure all digital assets meet AODA accessibility requirements, including captions, transcripts, plain‑language standards, and screen‑reader compatibility.
- Partner with digital and marketing teams to extend the reach and usability of cancer information materials.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of The Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations and comply with CCS’s Health & Safety Policy.

Qualifications
- Degree in healthcare, publishing, health communication or related education (or a combination of education and experience)
- 5–7 years of enterprise content management experience delivering digital, print, or multimedia content.
- Familiarity with consumer, health-related information along with an interest in emerging media and technical platforms.
- Business analysis or process improvement training (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) is an asset.
- PMP certification is considered an asset.
- Experience collaborating with external partners and managing content vendors.
- Experience using project management tools like Monday.com, Asana, etc.
- Familiarity with user testing and accessibility best practices.
- Familiarity with health literacy and the information needs of cancer patients an asset.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent collaborative deleberation skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to navigate shifting priorities with professionalism
- Bilingualism (French/English) is highly preferred, with French being an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across various regions.
