Job title: Change Management Specialist

Location: Edmonton, AB

On-Site

We are currently seeking a Change Management Analyst / Specialist to support a complex transformation initiative with the Government of Alberta. This is a hands-on delivery-focused role ideal for a change professional who enjoys creating tangible deliverables, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting successful implementation and adoption.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and operational groups to develop and execute change management activities that prepare impacted teams for upcoming changes. This role requires someone who is comfortable moving beyond strategy and actively producing change artifacts, facilitating sessions, and supporting execution throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute practical change management deliverables to support project implementation

Create change artifacts including:

  • Stakeholder assessments
  • Change impact assessments
  • Readiness assessments and materials
  • Communication plans and stakeholder communications
  • Training materials and user support documentation
  • Job aids, quick reference guides, FAQs, and presentations

Lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, including:

  • Workshops
  • Alignment sessions
  • Demonstrations
  • Walkthroughs
  • Working sessions with business and project teams

Collaborate with business and project stakeholders to:

  • Identify impacts and readiness requirements
  • Gather information and validate messaging
  • Translate project changes into clear, user-focused materials

Support:

  • Change readiness and adoption activities
  • Pilot initiatives and phased rollouts
  • Implementation preparation and transition activities
  • Tracking of change-related actions, risks, dependencies, and deliverables

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience supporting change management initiatives within complex organizations
  • Strong ability to create and deliver change communications and training materials
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder discussions, workshops, and engagement sessions
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams and business stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
  • Experience supporting technology, process, or organizational transformation initiatives
