Job Title: Hardware Technician

Full-time opportunity | On-site in Surrey

Must hold a valid Canadian Work Visa

Our client, a growing technology-driven organization, is seeking a motivated and adaptable Hardware Technician to support and maintain their hardware and server infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is eager to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of IT support functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring hardware reliability, server uptime, and security while supporting end-users with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. This role also includes hardware lifecycle management and administration of telecom accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Microsoft-based physical and virtual server environments.
  • Manage and monitor cloud backup solutions to ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee antivirus protection and maintain system security.
  • Plan and execute hardware lifecycle management, including refreshes.
  • Administer telecom accounts (e.g., Telus, Rogers) and support related devices.
  • Support end-users with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (primarily Microsoft, with some Apple).
  • Liaise with external vendors and partners for hardware and software requirements.
  • Ensure IT operations remain secure, reliable, and cost-effective.

Qualifications:Required

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or hardware technician roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft server and application environments.
  • Experience with physical server hardware and remote server support.
  • Familiarity with cloud backup solutions and antivirus/security tools.
  • Ability to manage relationships with external vendors, including telecom providers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and eagerness to learn.
