Type of position: Regular Your future role on our team You’ll work at either CPP/BBA’s Sherwood Park or Red Deer office as an intermediate environmental professional. The Environment department supports a wide range of project development and execution projects in the industrial (energy, mining, linear projects), commercial and private sectors. This includes biophysical characterization, impact and social acceptability studies as well as approval and permit applications. As an intermediate biologist, you’ll perform various tasks within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate your work with project managers to deliver mandates. - Support project managers in preparing proposals, including strategy, work plan, budget and more
- Help deliver environmental impact assessments and related studies as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Lead and participate in field surveys
- Lead and participate in preparing environmental permit and authorization applications
- Develop methodologies, prepare sampling plans and ensure data entry
- Lead or draft inventory reports, diagnostics, baseline studies and authorization requests submitted to government agencies for development projects
- Ensure project budgets and schedules are met
- Maintain effective and constructive relationships with clients and CPP/BBA team members
- Promote cross-selling of expertise to existing clients
- Promote BBA's environmental services, both internally to colleagues and externally to current and potential clients
- Participate in innovation efforts, developing new services and communication initiatives within the Environment group

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an environment-related field
- From 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in delivering environmental projects (budget, schedule, planning, work execution)
- Hold a professional designation or are qualified to acquire one (e.g., Professional Biologist, Professional Agrologist and so on)
- Experience with field surveys (fish/aquatics, fauna and flora inventories, characterization of land and water ecosystems, soil profile characterization, etc.)
- Good writing skills
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Asset: knowledge and understanding of ArcGIS software
- Asset: bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
