Role Description The Assistant to Project Manager is a contract, on-site role based in Headingley, MB. This position supports the Project Manager with daily administrative and clerical tasks, including scheduling, document preparation, and maintaining project files. The assistant helps coordinate communications among team members, vendors, and clients, and may answer phones, take messages, and respond to routine inquiries. Duties also include organizing meetings, tracking project progress, preparing basic reports, and assisting with on-site project logistics as needed. The role requires consistent presence at the Headingley location to support smooth project operations and timely information flow.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills for scheduling, document management, and general office support.
- Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette and clear Communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Candidates should possess Executive Administrative Assistance capabilities for supporting project leadership, organizing meetings, and handling confidential information.
- Relevant experience in construction, landscaping, or project-based environments is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfort using basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing) and learning project management tools.
- Reliable transportation to the Headingley, MB site and ability to work on-site for the duration of the contract.
