You'll play a key role in critical project phases, from Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering to Construction, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of commodities. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Designer to join our team in Vancouver. About The Role

  • Work within a multidisciplinary project team of designers and ensure interdisciplinary co-ordination when developing the models
  • Develop piping models in a 3D environment (SmartPlant experience an asset)
  • Prepare piping layout detail designs and drawings in line with project design requirements for various areas of a concentrator facility (specifically tailings thickener and filtration plants) with focus on the following:
  • Assist in the facilitation of project model reviews and follow up on action items
  • Preparation of piping isometrics.

About You

  • 10+ year’s experience in piping design of mineral processing plants in a multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
  • Knowledge of slurry handling and rubber lined pipe design
  • Detailed knowledge of piping systems, components and hardware, including understanding of P&IDs and material take-offs.
  • Working knowledge of SmartPlant required.
  • Understanding of industry regulatory codes and standards
  • Well-developed written and oral skills
  • Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner with some guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Extensive experience with ASME B16 and B31 and associated standards.
