Start Date: Immediate Start Available About The Role We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Site Coordinator to join our construction team. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on-site, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety. Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Maintain detailed records of incidents, inspections, and training
  • Ensure compliance with Manitoba legislation and company policies
  • Investigate workplace incidents and recommend preventive measures
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and workers to promote safe practices
  • Monitor use of PPE and ensure proper safety signage is in place
  • Support emergency response planning and drills

Qualifications

  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NCSO, CRSP,or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in construction safety or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of Manitoba legislation and construction safety standards
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple job sites
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • WHMIS and CSTS certification (preferred)
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and writing reports
  • Ability to train and mentor workers on safety procedures and protocols
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
