About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead – Guidewire to join our team in Quebec. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading quality assurance efforts across Guidewire projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions for core insurance systems. This role requires strong expertise in Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter), hands-on testing leadership, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA planning, strategy, and execution for Guidewire implementations and integrations.
- Manage and mentor QA teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to define test objectives and scope.
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases for Guidewire applications.
- Ensure end-to-end testing of Guidewire modules including functional, regression, integration, and UAT support.
- Establish test environments, data management, and defect tracking processes.
- Implement automation frameworks and tools compatible with Guidewire systems.
- Provide regular QA status reporting, risk assessments, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, security, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Guidewire certification (e.g., PolicyCenter Specialist, ClaimCenter Specialist).
- 5+ years of QA experience, with 2+ years in a Lead/Managerial role.
- Strong experience with Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, or equivalent).
- Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Tosca, or similar).
- Solid understanding of P&C insurance domain processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bilingual (English & French) is a strong asset.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-based Guidewire deployments (AWS/Azure).
