About Ally Global Foundation

At Ally, we protect childhood.

Every day, in every country, sex traffickers find new ways to exploit people, on screens and in person.

One in three victims is a child.

When sex trafficking and exploitation try to take childhood away, we rally everyone, and everything needed to protect it.

Whether it’s research, prevention, aftercare or education—around the world or around the corner—we do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes.

Because every child deserves a childhood.

And every childhood deserves an ally.

Position Overview

As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you are responsible for shaping and leading Ally Global Foundation’s marketing and communications strategy with a strong focus on fundraising impact, audience growth for prevention and advocacy, and brand-driven revenue.

This role exists to translate Ally’s mission, priorities, and executive-level brand direction into effective marketing systems, campaigns, and communications that move audiences to awareness, trust, and action. While executive leadership retains ownership of Ally’s brand identity and core narrative, this role is accountable for how that brand is activated, expressed, and leveraged across channels to achieve measurable outcomes.

You bring strategic clarity, creative judgment, and a growth mindset—ensuring marketing and communications efforts are focused, relevant, and effective. You lead teams and partners to execute with excellence, while continuously improving how Ally reaches, engages, and mobilizes supporters.

What You'll DoStrategy & Leadership

(This role partners closely with Development and Leadership but does not own donor operations, stewardship, or grant writing.)

  • Lead the development, execution, and ongoing refinement of Ally’s marketing and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
  • Own the marketing strategy that supports fundraising growth, including donor acquisition, retention support, peer-to-peer campaigns, and brand-led conversion pathways.
  • Translate strategic priorities into a clear marketing roadmap with defined objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as a key thought partner to senior leadership, providing strategic insight on brand positioning, audience engagement, and growth opportunities.
  • Champion innovation by exploring new platforms, tools, and approaches to expand Ally’s reach and impact globally.
  • Apply a business and growth mindset to campaigns, evaluating ROI, scalability, and long-term audience value.

Storytelling & Brand Stewardship

  • Shape and safeguard Ally’s brand voice, ensuring all communications are authentic, compassionate, and grounded in dignity and care.
  • Lead the creation of empathetic, compelling narratives that elevate survivor-centered storytelling and inspire understanding, trust, and action.
  • Ensure consistent, values-driven messaging across all channels, including digital platforms, campaigns, and organizational communications.

Campaigns & Content

  • Conceptualize campaigns as strategic products with clear audiences, value propositions, success metrics, and lifecycle plans.
  • Design, oversee, and execute integrated marketing and awareness campaigns that mobilize supporters, donors, and partners around Ally’s mission.
  • Oversee content strategy and production across digital platforms (website, social media, email, and other channels), ensuring high-quality, impactful storytelling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external subcontractors to bring campaigns and creative initiatives to life on time and on budget.

Creative Direction & Aesthetic Leadership

  • Ensure all creative work meets a high bar for aesthetic excellence, cultural relevance, and platform-native execution.
  • Stay current on design, storytelling, and digital trends, ensuring Ally’s brand feels modern, credible, and emotionally resonant.
  • Ensure Ally’s visual identity and storytelling remain contemporary, compelling, and differentiated in a crowded landscape.
  • Confidently evaluate creative work across disciplines, offering clear, constructive feedback that elevates quality.

Team & Partner Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the marketing and creative team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, accountability, and excellence.
  • Manage relationships with consultants, agencies, and freelancers, ensuring alignment with strategy, brand, and values.
  • Encourage professional development and empower team members to do their best work in service of the mission.

Performance, Insights & Budget Management

  • Use data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and communications efforts, applying insights to continuously refine strategy and improve outcomes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting practices to track progress and impact.
  • Collaborate to manage the marketing budget responsibly, maximizing efficiency and ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-impact initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications leadership.
  • Proven success in creating strategies that combine empathy with innovation and effectiveness.
  • Strong people management skills, with a passion for nurturing creativity and teamwork.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to balance persuasive storytelling with authenticity.
  • Experience with digital platforms, social media, email marketing, and content creation.
  • Ability to think both strategically and creatively, with a willingness to explore new ideas and untested approaches.
  • A deep commitment to our mission of ending human trafficking through care, courage, and action.
  • Experience in the for-profit sector.
  • Demonstrated experience using marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, audience acquisition, or demand generation.
  • Strong creative judgment and aesthetic sensibility across visual, written, and digital media.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, testing new ideas, and iterating based on performance.

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fields (preferred but not required).
  • Experience in the non-profit sector.

Compensation

  • Salary: $70,000-$80,000
  • RRSP Matching
  • Health Benefits and Spending Account
