Physics Masters — AI Training SpecialistAbout The Role We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to make AI smarter — and we need physicists to do it. As a Physics AI Training Specialist, you'll use your advanced knowledge to design challenging problems, evaluate AI reasoning, and help build the benchmarks that push large language models to their limits. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for people who love rigorous thinking and want their expertise to have real-world impact beyond academia.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design advanced physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate rigorous logical reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine evaluation benchmarks from undergraduate to Masters level
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model performance

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills across multiple advanced physics domains
  • Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating reasoning
  • No prior AI experience required — your physics knowledge is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic research
  • Familiarity with problem-set design or tutoring at an advanced level
  • Exposure to computational or experimental physics methods

Why Join Us

  • Work directly with industry-leading AI models and top research labs
  • Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
  • Freelance perks: high autonomy, flexibility, and global collaboration
  • Meaningful work that shapes how AI understands and reasons about the physical world
  • Potential for ongoing contract renewals as new projects launch
