Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)About The Role We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing to power systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your expertise becomes the benchmark for AI intelligence.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems — Develop advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated outputs including code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps or errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured feedback to improve model performance
- Work Asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on your own schedule with no fixed hours
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in written form
- Highly detail-oriented when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
- Background spanning multiple EE subfields
Why Join Us
- Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and as much as you want
- Freelance perks: full autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Gain unique insight into how large language models are trained and evaluated
- Meaningful work that directly improves AI's technical reasoning capabilities
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
