Job Description

Posted on: July 15, 2026

Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)About The Role We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing to power systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your expertise becomes the benchmark for AI intelligence.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Develop advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
  • Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated outputs including code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
  • Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps or errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured feedback to improve model performance
  • Work Asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on your own schedule with no fixed hours

Who You Are

  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in written form
  • Highly detail-oriented when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
  • Background spanning multiple EE subfields

Why Join Us

  • Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and as much as you want
  • Freelance perks: full autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Gain unique insight into how large language models are trained and evaluated
  • Meaningful work that directly improves AI's technical reasoning capabilities
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
