As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing our databases to ensure seamless performance, data integrity, and availability.

What you’ll do

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Implement and manage database security, including user roles and permissions.
• Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
• Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve performance.
• Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and provide technical support.
• Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for database management.

What you’ve got

• A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus two or more years of related experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server database architecture and management.
• Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL programming.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with SQL Server tools (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, Profiler, etc.).
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with the Snowflake cloud database platform would be an asset.
