Sudbury Job Fair Draws Massive Crowd

Organizers of the Community-Wide Job Fair 2025 in Sudbury are calling it a resounding success, with more than 2,150 job seekers flocking to the Sudbury Arena. The event, a collaborative effort by seven local employment service providers, featured 86 employers from over 100 sectors, offering a wide range of opportunities from entry-level to executive roles.

A Platform for Connections and Opportunities

Lorrie Turnbull, president and CEO of the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario, highlighted the event's impact:

"The turnout was incredible. We saw job seekers from all backgrounds making connections that could be their first step towards a bright new future."

Attendees had the chance to engage in face-to-face meetings with hiring managers, participate in on-the-spot interviews, and explore various career paths. The fair not only helped job seekers find meaningful employment but also supported local businesses in filling crucial positions.

Collaborative Effort for a Stronger Community

The job fair was sponsored by notable organizations including Collège Boréal, Sudbury & Manitoulin Workforce Planning, and Wolfpack Protective Services Inc., among others. The organizing team comprised YMCA of Northeastern Ontario, Employment Options Emploi Collège Boréal, March of Dimes, Northern Vocational Services, Employment Options Cambrian College, and Spark Employment Services.

This event underscored the importance of community collaboration in strengthening the future of Northeastern Ontario by connecting local talent with employers.
