BluPine Energy Launches New Skill Development Training Centres

BluPine Energy, a leading renewable energy services company in India, has recently opened four new Skill Development Training Centres (SDTCs) in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat. This initiative is part of the company's mission to bridge the rural-urban skill gap in the clean energy sector, promoting sustainable livelihoods for local communities.

Achievements of BluPine's SDTCs

Since the inception of the SDTCs, a total of 904 individuals have benefited from the training programs across three phases:

  • Phase 1: 140 beneficiaries from Patan and Banaskantha.
  • Phase 2: 316 trainees from Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Patan, and Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh.
  • Phase 3: Currently underway with 448 beneficiaries from Raichur, Jodhpur, Banaskantha, and Bhavnagar.

Out of the total enrollees, 456 participants have completed training, while 448 are currently enrolled. Notably, 45% of these participants are women, showcasing BluPine's commitment to gender parity in a traditionally male-dominated sector.

Focus on Future Readiness

Sumit Barat, Chief Sustainability Officer at BluPine Energy, emphasized that vocational training is essential for building resilient communities and advancing India’s renewable energy ambitions. The training centres aim to equip rural youth, particularly women, with the necessary skills for a green economy, thus addressing the skill availability gap between rural and urban areas.

Neerav Nanavaty, CEO of BluPine Energy, stated that these centres reflect their strategic commitment to creating long-term economic impact by empowering rural communities to participate meaningfully in India’s energy transition.

Training Program Details

The new centres, located in Tana, Varal, Bhakhal, and Mamsi, have enrolled 124 students, with graduation expected by September 2025. The six-month training program, led by certified professionals, combines classroom learning with hands-on experience in:

  • Electrical work
  • Solar panel installation
  • System maintenance
  • Troubleshooting

Graduates receive government-recognized certifications and are supported by BluPine's placement team to secure jobs within the company and the renewable energy sector, achieving an 82% placement success rate.

Commitment to Social Value

This vocational skilling initiative represents BluPine Energy's dedication to creating long-term social value while contributing to India's clean energy goals. By expanding into more villages and empowering communities with job-ready skills, BluPine is fostering sustainable livelihoods alongside climate progress.
