Job DescriptionThe OpportunityShape Something Different – Join WSP’s Remediation Program Management (RPM) Team as a Junior Environmental Professional Contaminated Sites based in Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with less than 2 years of experience to contribute to projects that restore impacted sites and protect natural ecosystems. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in environmental site assessments, remediation programs, and data analysis that make a real difference to communities and the environment. Your Impact
- Conduct fieldwork including soil and groundwater sampling, environmental monitoring, vegetation assessments and site inspections.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, data summaries, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Support remediation projects by coordinating field activities and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for contaminated site management.
- Contribute to project planning, logistics, and client communication under the guidance of senior scientists.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Recent graduate or early career professional with less than 2 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or remediation projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and travel to project sites as required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.

Compensation (RPM Group)BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $56,500 – $75,900 MB & ON: $51,600 – $72,000 Atlantic Provinces & QC: $51,100 – $68,800 Disclosure: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
