The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general supervision of the applicable Director and in collaboration with the Program Teams, the incumbent is responsible for:

• Educational program development for:

• Nursig staff including R.N.s, L.P.N.s, R.P.N.s
• Support staff including U.A.s, N.A.s, U.C.s and/or applicable technicians.

• Teaching and learning activities.
• Nursing practice standards.
• Patient education development.
• Professional and Self Development.

Note: The priority and percentages of each of the above functions will vary throughout the year and possibly from year to year. Experience

• Must have a minimum of four years recent related nursing experience providing care to children and youth populations in an inpatient or outpatient program with demonstrated competency in harm reduction, trauma informed care and/or mental health assessments is preferred.
• Previous experience in teaching, education and program development and evaluation is preferred.
• Mental health experience required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing is preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
• Certificate or certification in a related specialty area preferred.

Note: In certain circumstances, certification as an instructor in a specialty training course (e.g. ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be stated as a requirement. Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Manitoba (C.R.N.M.) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (C.R.P.N.M).
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with Employer policy.
