Corporate Accounting ManagerMidtown - Toronto, ON (In-office)$105,000–$115,000 base + bonus and benefits

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position provides leadership and hands-on oversight across accounting operations, financial reporting, and treasury functions for the organization’s corporate and trade entities. The role is responsible for managing core accounting processes, overseeing cash management, budgeting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, while leading and mentoring the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Lead bank reconciliations, tax filings (HST), month-end close activities, and monthly financial reporting across all entities
• Monitor and analyze daily cash activity, prepare cash flow forecasts, and evaluate the impact of upcoming transactions on cash balances
• Oversee payroll reconciliations, chargebacks, and intercompany or management fee billings
• Lead the annual budgeting process and support quarterly forecast updates for corporate and trade operations
• Oversee the financial setup of new trade entities, including system implementation, banking arrangements, WSIB registration, and billing processes
• Manage year-end audit processes and act as the primary liaison with external auditors
• Evaluate internal controls and accounting policies, implementing enhancements to improve compliance and mitigate risk
• Drive workflow and process improvements to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness
• Lead special projects and provide strategic support to the Director of Finance

Qualifications & Experience:

• CPA designation with post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting requirements
• Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and develop a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Experience with Yardi or similar accounting systems is considered an asset
