White Trillium Structural Services is a small engineering practice in Ottawa & Gatineau, licensed in both provinces of Ontario & Québec. We are experienced in the design and inspection of wood, steel, and concrete structures for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

 Our services also include infrastructure and civil design and inspection as well as estimation & bidding support to contractors.

We use state-of-the-art software and combine internal staff and contracted technical expertise to ensure competitive and timely service.

Role Description

This is a contract Structural Engineer position with a hybrid work model located in Ottawa, ON, with flexibility for remote work. The Civil Structural Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks mainly associated with structural analysis, design, & inspection. Other duties include occasional civil design & inspection, report writing, drafting, estimation, & bid support.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering Degree with Emphasis on Structural Engineering, Preferably from a Canadian University.
• One Year Minimum Canadian Experience.
• Experience with design & drafting software.
• Experience in structural design and inspection of wood, steel, and concrete structures.
• Experience in the design & inspection of civil works considered an asset.
• Experience in bidding and project estimation is a plus.
• Organizational skills & self-starter.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French considered an asset.
• Eligibility for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is preferred. Eligibility for Registration with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec is an Asset.
• Driver's licence and access to a vehicle an asset.
