Family Lawyer

Location: Edmonton, Alberta Job Type: Full-time Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Family Lawyer based in Edmonton, AB. The Family Lawyer will represent clients in matters such as separations, divorces, child custody, parenting, child support, spousal and adult interdependent partner support, adoptions, and other family-related legal issues. The role involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, advising clients on their legal rights and options, and advocating for clients in court proceedings when necessary. Additionally, the Family Lawyer will collaborate with colleagues, negotiate settlements, and manage caseloads effectively while maintaining professional conduct. Qualifications

• Proficiency in Legal Research, Legal Writing, and legal documentation
• Skilled in Communication, Negotiation, and Client Relationship Management
• Knowledge of Family Law, Court Procedures, and Mediation Practices
• Exceptional Organizational Skills and Time Management
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Problem-Solving Abilities
• Relevant legal education, such as a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
• A minimum of 3 years prior experience practicing family law is required.
