What We Look For In a Trigonometry Tutor

• Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, cotangent), unit circle, radian and degree measures, trigonometric identities, inverse functions, and graphing transformations. • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with trigonometry curricula and common struggles including memorizing identities, graphing transformations, and applying formulas correctly. Adapts instruction using mnemonic devices (SOHCAHTOA), visual circle diagrams, and real-world examples from navigation, music, and architecture to support diverse learning styles.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
