Senior Accountant

CONTRACT: 6 months

START DATE: ASAP

SETUP: Hybrid, 3 days/week in office, downtown Toronto

Responsibilities

• Supporting the accounting and finance operations for assigned accounts
• Prepare journal entries in the accounting system
• Preparing reconciliations in relation to specific client accounts
• Process claims, review contracts, and follow up on outstanding items
• Ensure timely processing of reinsurance receipts and payments
• Assisting with month end related tasks

About You

• 5+ years of general accounting experience
• Experience in the Insurance or Reinsurance industry
• Must be proficient dealing with / reconciling large volumes of data
• Experience in insurance operations; contract administration, claims, treaties etc.
