Job Title: BookkeeperJob Type: Permanent position, 5 days on-site, Calgary, Alberta.Job Salary: $55,000 - $70,000Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This is a permanent, full-time, in-office role where you will take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and reporting functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the accounting team to support clients across a wide variety of industries and ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including general ledger entries and reconciliations
- Process payments and handle accounts payable/receivable (light volume)
- Perform accounts receivable collections and follow-ups as required
- Prepare monthly financial reports for clients
- Manage intercompany transactions and high-volume processing for a diverse client base
- Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects and reporting needs
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements (GST, payroll, etc.)
Systems & Tools
- QuickBooks Online (primary system)
- Dext, Hubdoc, Caseware
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Strong experience with payment processing and A/R collections
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping Certificate (Fathom certification an asset)
- Experience with GST filings, payroll, or personal tax forms is an asset
- Strong Excel skills; comfort with accounting software and cloud-based tools
