About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead high-impact initiatives within our Digital Banking portfolio, including onboarding, payments, and customer profile management. This role combines deep business analysis expertise with product ownership and technical acumen to deliver scalable, API-driven solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis and product delivery for digital banking initiatives, including mobile onboarding, retail account opening, and credit card journeys
- Partner with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to define strategy, scope, and solution architecture aligned with the bank’s digital roadmap
- Drive requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment across stakeholders
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation for complex banking systems
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs in Jira, ensuring alignment with business value and delivery timelines
- Translate business needs into scalable solutions leveraging backend APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations
- Lead Agile ceremonies across multiple PODs, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Conduct gap analysis and define future-state capabilities to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Technology to deliver secure and compliant solutions
- Support phased releases and go-to-market execution, ensuring smooth rollout of digital features
- Assess impact of new initiatives across existing platforms and contribute to enterprise architecture decisions
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Product Manager, or similar role, with strong exposure to banking or financial services
- Demonstrated experience delivering digital banking solutions, particularly in onboarding, payments, or customer management
- Strong BSA capabilities, including organizing, structuring, and documenting complex requirements
- Experience working with AI as a tool is an asset
- Expertise in requirements gathering and documentation, including BRDs, functional specs, and Agile artifacts
- Solid technical knowledge of:
- Backend APIs and system integrations
- Microservices architecture
- Mobile and web-based digital applications
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile delivery frameworks
- Proven ability to work with multiple business partners and synthesize complex inputs into actionable deliverables
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Canadian banking platforms, including onboarding, Interac, e-Transfer, and digital servicing capabilities
- Familiarity with customer identity systems (MFA, SSO, profile and consent management)
- Experience leading multiple Agile teams or PODs in large transformation programs
- Certifications such as CSPO, Scrum Master, or BCS Business Analysis
- Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements in banking
