Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Geomatics Technician specializing in Construction Layout Drafting, located in Calgary, AB. The role involves drafting and preparing construction layout plans.. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with surveyors and civil engineering teams to deliver accurate field and office data for construction projects, with an emphasis on ensuring precision and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience and skills in Planning and Inspection to ensure precise and reliable surveying and layout processes
• Knowledge and understanding of Civil Engineering principles and Building Surveying techniques
• Commitment to and understanding of Construction Safety practices and standards
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficiency in relevant drafting software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related programs)
• Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in construction layout or surveying is an asset
