Mechanical Designer

| Your challenges ?

The role involves the following tasks and responsibilities :

• Design mechanical components for antennas, payloads, or space electronics units ;
• Understand customer requirements ;
• Propose concepts that meet requirements ;
• Select/design components to meet constraints ;
• Integrate concepts from electrical, materials, structural and thermal engineering disciplines into a 3D model ;
• Develop/review manufacturing drawings, assembly and parts lists ;
• Evaluate system costs, establish schedules ;
• Monitor activities of component suppliers ;
• Support integration and testing of components into higher-level assemblies (during design and manufacturing phases) ;
• Develop mass budgets ;
• Present concepts to the customer.

| What do we expect from you ?

The minimum required skills necessary for this role :

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent ;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design ;
• Bilingual (English/French) ;
• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing, drawing standards ;
• CAD design skills (NX, Creo or Catia) ;
• Knowledge of the space industry ;
• Good communication skills ;
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
