What We Expect
- Work safely and comply with health and safety policies and legislation.
- Manage end-to-end shipping and receiving operations: sourcing materials/suppliers, creating purchase orders, processing incoming materials.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards for sourced materials.
- Generate and manage purchase orders per company policies.
- Verify accuracy, completeness, and condition of incoming/outgoing shipments.
- Perform inventory control and cycle counting.
- Order and maintain safety equipment and shop supplies.
- Track and confirm receipt of materials; communicate with internal teams.
- Pack shipments (some assembly may be required).
- Prepare materials for delivery and ensure paperwork is complete.
- Coordinate deliveries with Supervisors and Delivery Driver.
- Manage internal communications via email and phone.
- Assist in loading/unloading equipment and materials (must operate or be trained to operate a forklift).
- Provide packing slip documentation to PO receiver.
- Follow up with vendors on outstanding orders, invoices, or POs.
- Maintain an organized workspace.
- Weekly uniform ordering.
- Assemble new-hire safety bags with required PPE.
- Support administrative continuity (e.g., payroll, rate changes, route assignment, on-call list updates, fleet changes).
- Support Branch Management with other tasks as required.
Who we are looking for
- High school diploma required; college or secondary education preferred.
- Logistics, coordination, and warehouse experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable with digital tools, data entry, reporting platforms, mobile apps, and CRM systems.
- Experience with Oracle, Salesforce, and WebHelp is an asset.
- Preferred: 2 years of related warehouse experience.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills.
