Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day project activities supporting continuous underground rehabilitation operations.
- Supervise, direct, and support employees while assisting with training and qualification requirements.
- Maintain safe, environmentally responsible operating conditions within equipment design parameters.
- Provide clear work direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure employees understand expectations.
- Address performance concerns and support employee development as required.
- Mentor and develop team members to support long‑term organizational success.
- Facilitate effective communication between operations, maintenance, management, and client representatives.
- Coordinate manpower, resources, and work activities to ensure safe and efficient contract operations.
- Act as a liaison between management, shift operations, and maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity and safety.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Review and authorize work permits in accordance with site requirements.
- Valid Underground Supervisor certification/ticket as required under Saskatchewan mining regulations.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Valid WHMIS and SCOT certifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices with an excellent safety record.
- Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the workplace.
- Minimum 5 years of mining operations experience, preferably in potash.
- Proven ability to lead teams safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead crews while adapting to client operational requirements.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and process control software.
- Experience using maintenance or work‑scheduling software.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment Drug and Alcohol test.
