Job Overview Reporting to the Vice-President as the Flooring and Warehousing Lead you coordinate incoming and outgoing material movement for flooring operations. You also guide the team to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient forklift operation and adherence to procedures. Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

• Operating an electric powered forklift to safely move goods.
• Cutting rolled goods using carpet/vinyl cutting machine.
• Assembling, checking, packing, shrink wrapping, verifying, and inspecting customer orders and ensuring all documentation is verified and forwarded, indicating any products that are to be back ordered.
• Organizing space in adherence to flooring storage requirements and providing recommendations for improvements..
• Coordinating inventory transfers, moving and arranging inventory, checking product counts and assist in conducting regular inventories..
• Delivering supplies and equipment to designated departments.
• Assisting in training new employees when required.
• Performing regular inspection and maintenance of equipment and reporting major mechanical problems when necessary.
• Working in a safe manner and promoting a safe work environment, complying with Qualico’s Safety Program. Reporting safety violations when necessary.

Essential Requirements

• High School Diploma and ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Previous forklift training and certification.
• Minimum 3 years of previous flooring and warehousing experience. Ability to solving problems effectively using tact, diplomacy and good judgement.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Physically able to kneel, crouch and lift as well, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs. and work in a physical, exertive work pace.
• Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).

Working Conditions You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
