Senior Frontend Developer (6 Month, Contract)

The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a Senior Frontend Developer (Contract, 6 months) for our Ecommerce Team within our Home Office located at 147 Commerce Drive in Winnipeg, MB. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, define system scope, and establish clear objectives for software solutions. You will leverage your expertise to design, code, test, debug, document, and deploy both new applications and enhancements to existing systems, ensuring high performance and scalability. As The Senior Frontend Developer You Will

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable frontend architectures.
• Write efficient, reusable code ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
• Enhance application performance by addressing bottlenecks and optimizing load times.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
• Integrate APIs and ensure seamless user experiences with backend developers and designers.
• Maintain unit and integration tests for code reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and trends.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for code and development processes.

As a Successful Candidate You Will Have The Following

• 8-10 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React).
• Proficient in Git version control system and its workflows.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Knowledge of Figma and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong understanding of Shopify is a plus.
• Knowledge of configuring and running CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Familiarity with modern build tools and performance optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in agile environments.
• Proficient in Prompt Engineering, with the ability to optimize and achieve the best results using various GPT models.
