Senior Business Analyst - Financial Systems

Tekvaly is looking for a Senior Business Analyst - Financial systems, for its client, to join the growing Data Analytics Team. The client is a well established Construction firm based in GTA.

This is a fulltime permanent role with 4 days onsite requirement.Who We are

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for translating business needs into actionable requirements and delivering data-driven financial solutions. This role requires collaborating with stakeholders, and guiding data engineering teams to ensure high-quality data solutions.

The role focuses on the Finance Module as the core system and leverages data analytics and visualization to support business outcomes. The Business Analyst will also research external data sources, evaluate analytics technologies, and contribute to solution design.

Responsibilities:

• Work with business stakeholders across units to define problems, business requirements, and success metrics.
• Support the selection and application of appropriate data analysis approaches and assets, with a focus on actionable insights and data visualization.
• Act as the owner of the product backlog for financial analytics initiatives, prioritizing requirements to maximize business value.
• Contribute to solution design and ensure documentation of methodologies, process flows, and project artifacts.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to define requirements for data ingestion, cleansing, processing, and curation.
• Document business requirements, data analysis, process models, and functional specifications.
• Present findings and data-driven solutions to business units using clear, non-technical language.
• Work within JD Edwards finance modules to implement and validate data solutions and ensure alignment with business processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or product management with exposure to data analytics, visualization, and ERP systems.
• Proven experience engaging with business stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize requirements.
• Strong experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to derive actionable insights from data.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) finance modules or other modern ERP/financial systems.
• Understanding of data analysis, ETL pipelines, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Experience defining requirements for dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities independently.
• Experience conducting training sessions and workshops is a plus.
• Degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
